Humanitas Prizes reveals the award nominee list for 2022 

Humanitas has announced the nominees for the 46th annual Humanitas Prizes. A total of 45 writers have been nominated for their work across nine juried categories, with winners to be announced live at an on-ground awards luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on 9 September 2022. 

After a two year hiatus, Humanitas is excited to celebrate the nominees’ work, as well as the emerging writers, selected to participate in the professional development programs, the New Voices Fellowship and College Screenwriting Awards, from early 2020 to present. Additional honoree, host, and web series nominee announcements are forthcoming.

Since 1974, the Humanitas Prizes have honoured professional film and television writers whose work explores the human condition in a nuanced and meaningful way.  The event is attended by hundreds of distinguished writers, producers, directors, executives, agents, managers, and nonprofit representatives across multiple sectors. Funds raised at the Humanitas Prizes event provide essential support for the Humanitas Prizes, New Voices Fellowship, College Screenwriting Awards, and public programs.
