It is produced by South Africa’s Polycat and Ireland’s Monster Entertainment has picked up its distribution rights recently. The series follows the adventures of a wobbly cat Noodle who causes trouble, a pug Bean who whimpers in the face of danger, and a little mouse Bun who holds this peculiar group together.
The series is already a big hit on social media with 7.1 million followers. It has been sold to YLE in Finland, Filmin’s SVOD service in Spain and Portugal, to the Kidoodle app, Megogo in Ukraine and to Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, Air France and Aegean airlines.
Canal Plus head of acquisitions for the kids department Geraldine Soto said, “The craziness, humor and quality of Noodle and Bun will shake Canal+kids grid.”
Monster managing director Andrew Fitzpatrick said, “Canal Plus is the perfect home for Noodle and Bun. We’re so excited that they’ve fallen in love with this very unique series which is quickly building a global following.”
The main characters from the series have appeared recently on France’s Got Talent and will soon star in Britain’s Got Talent on ITV and America’s Got Talent on NBC.
