Five-time Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Emmy-nominated animation studio, Cartoon Saloon, leads a contingent of Enterprise Ireland supported innovative Irish animators heading to Los Angeles this week for the World Animation and VFX Summit.
Marrying classic artistry with modern technology, and buoyed by support from Enterprise Ireland, Cartoon Saloon, is one of five demonstrative talents coming out of the Irish Animation community that will be showcasing their finest works and meeting with the largest studios in the industry – Disney, Netflix, Amazon and many others this week. As the VC arm of the Irish government, Enterprise Ireland’s mission is to nurture, fund, and support fledgling Irish-born start-ups like these studios, from infancy to maturity.
“Irish animation pairs technological innovation and artistry to tell heartwarming and beautiful stories,” says Enterprise Ireland CEO Leo Clancy. “Here we are connecting Ireland’s leading animators, Kavaleer, Treehouse Republic, Piranha Bar, Giant Animation, and Cartoon Saloon with leading decision-makers in the world of entertainment.
