FICCI organising Animation, Gaming & VFX seminar at IFFI in Goa

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) is organising a seminar on Digital Entertainment with focus on Animation, Gaming & VFX on the 24th of November, 2007 at the Cidade De Goa, in Goa. The FICCI seminar is one amongst a series of special events, coinciding with the 38th International Film Festival of India which kicks off 23 November and concludes on 3 December.

Amongst high profile dignitaries participating include Honorable Minister for Information & Broadcasting Mr Priyaranjan Dasmunshi who will deliver the inaugural address as well as release the FICCI PWC report on Digital Entertainment.

Speaking to AnimationXpress.com, FICCI Senior Director & Head of Entertainment Amita Sarkar shared, “The idea, of course is to highlight the promise and potential of Animation, Gaming & Visual Effects. We have some sessions which emphasise on areas like Digital Revolution in the Indian entertainment Industry “Indian Entertainment Going Digital” , , Creation of Intellectual Property (IP) in Animation industry of India , “Developing Animation Content: 360 Degrees”. We are also highlighting on VFX”

“We are almost into the final month of 2007 and the heat is still on in the industry. In terms of Digital Entertainment , Animation & VFX this year has been a very active one for FICCI with the numerous meets and seminars that FICCI has organised and supported including The Annual FRAMES. Sessions at MIPCOM 07, and at Rome film Festival 2007 has been a great success” she added.
