Disney channel has been the top kids network in India from week 24 to 27, (8 June to 10 July) 2020, surpassing other notable kids networks such as Viacom18, Turner and others.
As per collective data from BARC India, the official currency on Television Measurement in India, Disney kids network has held its top position (including HD channels) in the All India Urban market (Networks – GTVT from two to 14 years) from 7am to 11pm everyday.
Commenting on the recent position, a Disney spokesperson shared with AnimationXpress, “It has been our endeavour to push the boundaries of imagination through wholesome and distinctive stories that resonate with kids. Kids have always looked at us to be their friend, someone who understands their world, and we are happy and excited to engage with them through our fresh, specially curated programming. We are thrilled that they have loved the local narratives Bapu and Guddu, our international specials like The Hagemaru Show, along with new episodes and movies of their existing favourites – Doraemon, Pokemon, Shinchan and Selfie with Bajrangi. In the coming weeks, the network will continue to entertain them with best-in-class stories and tentpole initiatives.”
