It is in this pursuit to encourage and share the importance of sculpting skills for a successful concept artist for our coming next generation has influenced me to plan out a cartoon character sculpting workshop for participants having the eligibility of a creative mind above 10yrs age.”

Prior to starting Dindiwood, was associated with DQ Entertainment and during his tenure at this studio, he has worked on projects of International studios from Canada, France, Italy, UK, USA.
Elaborating more on the importance of Cartoon Sculpting and Conceptual Skills, Waynew says, “Conceptual Skills are the backbone for any animation of International quality. Cartoon character sculpting in terms of animation production is one of the important conceptual skills of an artist to visualize and give form to a character at a pre-visualization a part of pre-production stage in creating a form into a 3D sculpture. This character sculpture is known as Animation Maquette. These animation Maquette’s are 3d sculptures made during the production of an animation film either to help develop the characters look or to create a 3d reference for the animators that accurately depicts the volumes of the characters. It is a unique object, because it is the only “real” representation of characters that otherwise only exist in a flat 2d world but nonetheless has volume in the minds of an animator.”
On completion of this workshop, you will be receiving certificates and printed manual on Clay sculpting. The event is sponsored by Pritam Tours and Travels, Nagpur and you can join in by paying INR 1800 at this address.
Waynew feels that development of conceptual skills should be emphasized on majorly in India and should be included as a part studies.
Concluding the conversation with us, he says, “Today in our country independent IP animation content production is at an incubation stage as compared to the animation flourish in the western, European or the South-east Asian regions. The reason for their success attributes to the emphasis on grooming conceptual skills for a child during his early education at schooling. A conceptual skill for animation as a subject in school curriculum is mandatory in majority of these countries from the beginning. It helps the students to achieve expertise in their conceptual skills domains by the time they reach to their graduation stage to proceed further and choose a career for specialization. It means an average student has at least ten years of exposure, experience and expertise of the conceptual skill he chooses by the time he reaches the graduation phase and that’s the reason we see their concepts turn out to be well polished.”
“For example let us look at the Architectural designs, Industrial prototype designs, Automobile designs, etc. On the other hand majority of our students start to realize a career in animation seriously at or after graduation and then take up courses to end up as experts of animation software operations. This has created a big gap for sourcing expertise skillets’ to our Production entities in India,” he ends.
