DeAPlaneta Entertainment has acquired the young adult animated series Ghosts of Ruin and will manage its media, digital and L&M rights worldwide (except North America which is being handled by Bejuba Entertainment).
Ghosts of Ruin is a sci-fi young adult animation series created by PJ Accetturo and Ryan Ramsey, with two-time Emmy-winner Michael Ryan (Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Lab, Cow & Chicken, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Phineas & Ferb, Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated, Kung Fu Panda) serving as showrunner and Oscar-nominée Thierry Marchand (Oktapodi, Angelo Rules, Treasure Trekkers) serving as director. The CG-animated series, whose first season consists of 13 episodes of around 22 minutes each, is developed and produced by Michael Ramey and Katie Stippec. It will be distributed by DeAPlaneta Entertainment on all territories except North America. The first episodes of Ghosts of Ruin are already available.

The series takes place in the near-future tech dystopia of San Francisco, where the Tournament of Ruin is about to debut a brand new fully immersive technology – Neural Reality! Lee wins the opportunity to join the ranks of 100 of the world’s best gamers competing in a team battle royale. Lee is way over his head, and no one knows that there’s something inside the game – something brutal and murderous – that is hunting them one by one. Lee and company must survive long enough to crack the secrets of Neural Reality before they lose their minds and become the ghosts of Ruin.
The all-star voice cast of the show includes Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka), Justin Long (Barbarian), Nathalie Emmanuel (Fast & Furious franchise), Tony Revolori (The Grand Budapest), and AleXa (K-pop icon) among others. The original music of the show has been created by Hans Zimmer’s legendary collective Bleeding Fingers Music.
