PBS Kids has announced a brand new movie of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood titled as Daniel Visits a New Neighborhood, which is all set to premiere on PBS Kids stations nationwide in June.
The new movie will take kids and family from coast to coast as Daniel Tiger ventures out from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Daniel Visits a New Neighborhood,” Daniel and Mom go on a trip to visit Mom Tiger’s friend and her family, including her young son and Daniel’s pen pal, Juan Carlos. Daniel gets to take his very first train ride as he leaves the Neighborhood of Make-Believe for the first time and learns helpful new strategies for traveling and being away from home. He also discovers what makes Juan Carlos’ family and neighborhood so special – and even learns some grr-ific Spanish phrases.
Recently Fred Rogers Productions and 9 Story Brands, the worldwide licensing agent for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, had signed various deals with 16 new and existing licensing partners to expand the franchise further. The upcoming product offerings will span multiple categories, from apparel to books, sporting goods to food and beverages, and more. In addition to signing exciting new deals, Fred Rogers Productions and 9 Story have finalised contract renewals with master publishing partner Simon and Schuster Children’s Publishing as well as current licensees Cottage Door Press (sound books), Happy Threads (apparel), Komar (pajamas), Playmonster (Colorforms), and University Games (games).
Daniel Visits a New Neighborhood will air on 20 June.
