ANTS marching beyond South

nullKarnataka based ANTS Animation Institute is looking to expand beyond the periphery of Southern India with a franchising model. It is also looking to start gaming courses.

The Institute which commenced operations three years ago has ten centres across Karnataka with 1300 students.

Speaking to Animation Xpress.com about the expansion plans, ANTS‘ MD Chetan shared, “Using the critical mass and leveraging the Indian talent ANTS looks at expanding across the country to tap that skill and welcomes like minded associates to make this a reality. So, March ahead with us!”

Courses at Ants include 2D classical, 3D animation and web animation. The students have to start with drawing, classical animation and then move onto CG. In addition to the regular courses, the students are also trained in modeling, acting, movie study, nature study and the like.

The faculty at the Ants consists of 36 production experienced teachers out of which 15 teach 2D, 17 3D and 4 teach web designing. Having been established in 2004, the institute has a list of achievements to boast about such as training over 700 students in animation during the International Film Festival for two years and providing good placements for its students in renowned production houses.

Over the years, the animation training institute has been associated with several leading studios from across India.

In conclusion Chetan added, “With animation really growing as industry manpower is the crucial ingredient, ANTS is committed to providing the industry with that.”
