The release date of upcoming animated film The Super Mario Bros. is nearing and the promotions for the same are in full swing. To heighten curiosity, lead actor of the movie Chris Pratt recently shared a post-credit scene of the film. It is common to have post-credits scenes for films. The one shared by Pratt lays groundwork for a potential sequel of The Super Mario Bros.
The Guardians of the Galaxy actor said, “Listen, at the end of the film, there’s a post-credit sequence that gives you a taste of what the sequel could be about. And that gets me very, very excited. There’s been talk of Luigi’s Mansion. That was a Gamecube game. I think that would be great.”
Few days back, the final trailer of the movie was also released in Nintendo Direct. Apart from Pratt, the movie stars Anya Taylor, Seth Rogen, Jack Black, Keegan Michael and Charlie Day.
The animated film is created by Illumination, the company that brought to viewers Minions and Despicable Me. It is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, two veteran animators. Matthew Fogel, well known for his work on The Lego Movie 2, has written the screenplay. The producer is Mario’s creator Shigeru Miyamoto.
Talking about the animation, actor Keegan Michael said, “If there’s any studio that knows how to do this, it’s Illumination. Their combination of making very fun, high-paced action stuff that is mixed with the heartfelt is second to none. They are great at what they do, and as a result, people are going to really enjoy this film. It is visually stunning.”
The Super Mario Bros. is the most anticipated animation adaptation of the popular game Super Mario and it is all set to release on 5 April.
