Anim Studios based in KINFRA Trivandrum has developed a short film for the Indian Railways’ Traffic Safety – Trivandrum Division. Ajoy Kumar, Transportation Inspector, Traffic Safety, Trivandrum Division, Southern Railway wrote the script and developed the concept for this short.
Talking to AnimationXpress.com Arun Sudhakar, Managing Director, Anim Studios says, “The purpose of this feature is to create awareness about train safety in India. More than hundreds of people lose lives in case of train related accidents every year, so awareness is a must, whatever the medium is.”
The short film is 2 minutes long and it’s in HD 720 format. The film is going to release in all railway stations coming under the southern zone of India Railway. “It is the best platform to showcase our product where all types of people are visiting”, Arun asserts.
The short has not been telecasted yet. However, there was an exclusive preview arranged for the railway officials and they were very much impressed and satisfied with the work informs Arun. About the association between Indian Railways and Anim Studios Arun says, “Southern Railway forwarded the quotation to produce an animation film to most of the animation studios in the South. Luckily we got the chance to make the film”.
Anim Studios also offers animation training and has real time production based training with the support of professionals already working in the studio. Currently more than 85 students of Anim Studios are working in different animation studios in India and abroad.
Anim Studios’ Head Office and production house is located at KINFRA film and video park, TVPM in the first special economical zone only for animation and gaming. Their Academy is based at Vazhuthacadu, TVPM and has one branch at Calicut, Balussery, Kerala.
Currently the studio is developing its own IP. It is a Tele series aimed for kids to increase their General knowledge. Two more concepts are in progress for Railways and pre-production work is going on.
