Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio and Avatar: The Way of Water won big at BAFTA Awards.
The British Academy Film Awards took place on Sunday, 19 February at The Royal Festival Hall in London, UK. The ceremony was hosted by Richard E. Grant and Alison Hammond.
Pinocchio (streaming on Netflix) won in the Animated Film category while James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water (theatrical release) won in the Special Visual Effects category.
The film All Quiet on the Western Front (streaming on Netflix) won seven BAFTAs and the film The Banshees of Inisherin (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) won four.
Marking its 76th anniversary this year, BAFTA recognises excellence in film, games and television.
