Commenting on Hans Bacher Session, Kushal Ruia, Studio Head- ACK Animation Studios, ACK Media, shared, “Credit for getting Hans to India primarily goes to the amazing Sanatan Suryavanshi, an upcoming animation prodigy himself and people will be hearing a lot more of him in the near future. He is an old friend/colleague and more importantly the co-author of Hans’ upcoming new book. On one of his trip’s to India I had him visit ACK Animation Studios and we explored the possibility of Hans coming down for an event. The idea seemed unlikely at first but we kept it on the back burner discussing it whenever Sanatan was in town. Eventually all the right pieces came together and Hans was kind enough to take us up on the invitation! After Hans said yes, it was a no brainer for me to approach the always enthusiastic Vaibhav Kumaresh and Team TASI with a request to organize an event to do this occasion justice”
In this session, Hans will take the audience through his four decades of long journey in the field of Production Design. The session will take off with a Presentation from Hans on his journey and experiences gained & progress with a series of Q & A with the attendees & to add to the excitement, attendees will stand a golden chance to strike up a conversation with Hans
Sharing thoughts on Meeting the Indian Animation Fraternity, Hans said,“This will be my first time in India. I’m very happy for the opportunity to experience your incredible country and meet the animation community. I’m looking forward to the event a great deal.
I’ve reached a point where passing on the knowledge and experience gained over a lifetime becomes very important to an individual and I hope artists who attend can use what I have to share on their own journey.
Primarily focusing on production design and styling for film will be a crucial aspect of this session & the presentation by me will be about my own personal journey as an artist as about artwork created for various projects over the past 40 years. Also, spotlight shall be more on personal interaction rather than just a one way monologue from my end. I’m excited about exchange of thoughts and ideas with other artists.
With ACK and TASI promising sessions like these, Indian Animation can look up to a great advancement. Attending session of Animation Industry Pillar Hans Bacher shall boost and strengthen the potential of Indian Animation aspirants to set out quality work.
All the entries are on First Come First Serve Basis, so hurry up crowd! Entry is free for all TASI Members whereas Non-Members can register and collect a day pass in which students will have to pay Rs.150/- and its 250/- for the Professionals.

Highlighting more on Hans Bacher Session, Vaibhav Kumaresh, Committee Member, TASI, stated, “I would like to sincerely thank Mr. Hans Bacher for accepting our invite and making it to Mumbai despite his health niggles. I also want to say a big thank you to Kushal Ruia from ACK Animation for initiating and making Hans’ Mumbai trip possible.
I am extremely glad that TASI is hosting a session with such a brilliant and experienced artist. Films like Mulan and The Lion King are one of my all time favorites and personally I am thrilled to be able to meet the man behind it. Having worked with the pioneers of animation, Hans has seen the industry evolve and take shape. I am sure it’s going to be a beautiful and enlightening experience for all us.”
“The value of interacting with such masters can simply not be put into words. What the attendees hope to gain from such an individual, I leave it to their own respective imaginations. I hope this event will provide for members of the Industry & also hope that professionals and companies use this introduction as an opportunity to discuss there individual work and projects with Hans. Maybe there can be some spark that might lead to a future collaboration at some point. I would love to see an Indian production where our best get to collaborate with such incredible global talents like the respected Hans Bacher”,concluded, Kushal Ruia.
