ACM SIGGRAPH has announced the return of the SIGGRAPH Asia 2012. The 5th ACM SIGGRAPH Conference and Exhibition on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques in Asia will be held from 28 November to 1 December 2012 in Singapore which was also host city of the inaugural edition in 2008. The conferences are from 28 November – 1 December 2012 and the Exhibition is from 29 November – 1 December 2012. The SIGGRAPH Asia conference features a myriad of stellar and innovative contributions from artists, designers, animators, researchers, and developers both from the industry and academia.
The event will be chaired by Susanto Rahardja, a professor of electrical engineering at Singapore’s Institute for Infocomm Research. The conference will highlight achievements in animation, art and technology using computer graphics and interactive digital media.
The SIGGRAPH Asia this year is introducing a new programme – Technical Briefs. The other programmes include Art Gallery, Computer Animation Festival, Courses, Emerging Technologies, Posters, Symposium on Apps, and Technical Papers. Submission is now open and deadlines are as follows Art Gallery – 5 June 2012, Computer Animation Festival – 3 July 2012, Courses – 7 June 2012, Emerging Technologies – 26 June 2012, Posters – 20 August, Symposium on Apps – 7 June 2012, Technical Briefs – 20 August 2012, Technical Papers – 22 May 2012.
