‘One Piece’ gears up for a Special Double Episode

The buzz around One Piece continues with enduring indefatigability as the series limbers up to bring out one much-anticipated episode, and this time it is going to be grand.

Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece first began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997. It has since been collected into over 80 volumes, and has been a critical and commercial success worldwide with many of the volumes breaking printing records in Japan. The manga has even set a Guinness World Record for the most copies published for the same comic book by a single author, and is the best-selling manga series worldwide with over 430 million copies sold.

Compensating for hitting up a break this week, One Piece is all set to air a double-episode this winter according to Reddit reports. As the ‘While Cake Island’ arc approach its climax, One piece will ramp up the hype on the finale.

So far, it seems episode 868 and 869 will constitute the double-episode special. Reports indicate that the events will be covering chapters 892-893 of the manga, giving readers a reason to rejoice.

Earlier in the year, Sanji reunited with Monkey D. Luffy after taking his leave from the Straw Hats. The dramatic episode had drawn positive reviews.

For those who have read chapters 892-893, they will know why the double episode was ordered to adapt their pages. We are equally hyped about the special!
