Superhit animated series BoJack Horseman will be returning for a sixth run on Netflix, as the streaming giant announced renewing the show through the former’s official Twitter handle.
Created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, the adult-comedy revolves around a washed-up star of 90s sitcom Horsin’ Around called BoJack Horseman (voiced by Will Arnett) who plots a return to the Hollywood showbiz with an autobiography with the help of his fidus achates Todd (voiced by Aaron Paul), all the while juggling with the strenuous demands of his sulky love interest Princess Carolyn (voiced by Amy Sedaris) and also his comical rivalry with frenemy Mr.Peanutbutter.
First premiered in August 2014, the show has been critically acclaimed for not only its humor, but also for its realistic take on common social issues such as depression, addiction and trauma. Among the several nominations and awards received over the years, BoJack Horseman later bagged its first Emmy-nomination at the sixty-ninth Primetime Emmy Awards last year.
The show is produced by The Tornante Company and animated by ShadowMachine. Sixth season of BoJack Horseman is expected to premier next year on Netflix.
