The inaugural Asia Esports Forum is coming to Taiwan this November

Esports is already disrupting and revolutionising several industries around the globe. Experts believe that more is set to come.

According to Newzoo, a global leader in esports intelligence, esports revenue is expected to grow to $1.5 billion dollars by 2020 as the brand investment doubles. Brand investment which includes media rights, advertisement and sponsorship, will take 80 per cent of the total revenue.

Beacon Events, one of the leading conference organisers in the Asia-Pacific, has announced that the first ever Asia Esports Forum will be held on 6 and 7 November, 2018 at W Taipei in Taiwan.

The Forum has gathered key players from the industry including, Asia ESL Gaming executive chairman John Lee, Mercedes-Benz Taiwan VP sales and marketing Markus Henne, Riot Gaming Southeast Asia GM Chris Tran and Ambrasia Group Limited & AMPT eSports Enterprises CEO Minsoo Kim.

The programme will cover the latest topics such as investment and branding in esports, esports investment, esports innovation and technology, regional regulatory and legal landscape, mobile esports, and the opportunities for traditional sports clubs and leagues.

Beacon Events senior conference producer Giulia Timarco said, “Esports is considered to be a tool to attract the customers of tomorrow. Brands from the F&B, automation, banking and financial industry are already spending millions on tournaments and team sponsorships, not to mention computer hardware and software. With over half of the esports enthusiasts in 2017 based in the Asia-Pacific, I would say that Asia is fast becoming the biggest esports region in the world. Asia Esports Forum 2018 aims to gather the key players within the Asian esports eco-system and offer the best platform to learn and monetise on the opportunities that this booming industry has to offer.”
