Mobile Mahatma a game and a mobile interactive film on Mahatma Gandhi is being jointly launched by Delhi based edutainment & game developer ZMQ, Times Foundation (Mumbai), and two Govt organisations Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti (of which the PM is the chairman) in Delhi on October 1.
The game has been concieved and developed by ZMQ.
Talking about Mobile Mahatma, ZMQ creative head Hilmi Quraishi told Animation ‘xpress,” The multimedia content has 2 components, the first is an interactive Mobile movie on the life of Mahatma Gandhi, where there are animated scenes followed by textual explanation and the second component is a quiz game where Mahatma Gandhi is the quiz master and asks players questions with 4 options and lifelines”
“The quiz has a total bank of 300 questions and a player can play 10 questions in 1 single game session” he added.
The game premieres on October 1 on Reliance Infocomm’s RWorld. The other operators including Tata and Orange shall be subsequently releasing the game within a week’s time.
The multimedia content took 3 months in the making with a 12 member team on the job. ZMQ has pledged to donate half of all the revenue incurred from this game to the Gandhi organisations.
ZMQ has been in the multimedia, edutainment and game development space since 1998 and has till date developed more than 280 games in a span of 6 years. A majority of its mobile games have been for Reliance Infocomm. Popular games created by ZMQ include Microtricks, Great Escape and India XI Safari cricket game being the highest grosser.
The developer is also very strong on the online educational games front.
