After having won the hearts of millions of viewers across the Nation, Krayon Pictures Delhi Safari has now won the most prestigious “National Award’ for Best Animation Film of 2013.
Speaking to AnimationXpress.com, Krayon Pictures’ Nishit Takia shared, “We are really very thrilled! It’s a great recognition, respect and honor of winning the National Award because it’s one of the most prestigious and highest award given to a film .We are really very humbled and touched by receiving this award. The award goes to the makers and I feel very proud about the team that has worked very hard on the movie!
I think creating an animation film is a challenge! There were not many films being made when we started working on Delhi Safari. We faced challenges at different levels starting from setting up a proper pipeline to setting up a CGI Stereoscopic Film and bringing it onto the screens. We were fortunate to have Nikhil Advani as the Director of this film.”
Eega which featured an awesome story with high quality CG and VFX has bagged the National Award for Best Special Effects 2013.
The best hindi film has been bagged by Paan Singh Tomar, while Vicky Donor got the National Award for best film providing wholesome entertainment. Kahaani fetched Sujoy Ghosh the best Original Screenplay award.
