Chennai based gaming company SkyTou Studios acquired rights to develop games based on globally recognised animation series Bommi & Friends, developed by Gusto Studios.
The studio has acquired rights to develop games around the animation series for five years and plans to come out with a couple of games starting this year.
SkyTou Studios recently won the People’s Choice award at the recently concluded PGConnects Bangalore 2016 for its game Paw Adventures, a pet game to teach how to train dogs about various tasks within the game.
Bommi & Friends is about a five year old girl from rural India and her five friends who resided in a magical book called Libro. There is Yip the dog from France, Remba the giraffe from Africa, Taco the monkey from the USA, Maya the crow from Spain and Boris the elephant from the U.K.
The animated series has travelled the world over being picked up by a number of international networks within the countries like Australia, Africa, parts of Europe and Asia. Last year, it got picked up by Sun Network for its kids’ channels in Tamil (Chutti TV), Telugu (Kushi TV), Malayalam (Kochu TV) and Kannada (Chintu TV).
