Since the time it has been announced by Marvel that Captain America: Civil War is going to be released next year, the studio has left no stone unturned to continue generating buzz around its first feature in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When people became aware that a war will take place between Captain America and Iron Man in this upcoming motion picture, they have started predicting which sides would the remaining Marvel heroes be choosing.
Recently a concept art was displayed which revealed, which hero will be siding Captain America and Iron Man; according to the artwork, we get to see Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Sharon Carter, Falcon and Winter Soldier fighting alongside the Cap, whereas the War Machine, Black Widow, Black Panther and Vision standing by the billionaire, playboy, philanthropist – Iron Man.
But there is another important development. Apparently, the creator of Iron Man, who’s often seen playing a cameo in most of the Marvel movies, Stan Lee has also chosen a side and it’s not what one would have thought of. Lee has pledged allegiance not with his creation but with Joe Simon and Jack Kirby’s baby, Captain America.
At Edmonton Comic Expo, a young fan asked him which superhero would he be rooting for, to which he quipped: “Whatever side Captain America is on, because he’s the best, pure-hearted person in the whole world.” He further went on to praise Chris Evans, adding: “By the way, he’s a great actor, too, the guy who plays Captain America does a beautiful job Chris Evans. I say that because he likes me, and anyone who likes me is a great actor.”
Captain America: Civil War will hit theatres on 6 May, 2016. Stay tuned for more updates.
