Nickelodeon India launches the new Dora Back to School range

Joins Hands With Simba Toys & H.M. International for the association 
Dora The Explorer Visits 8 Cities As Part Of The ‘Dora School Of Adventure’ Campaign Presented By Junior Horlicks

National, May 8th, 2012: After the success of SpongeBob SquarePants Back to School range, Nickelodeon India is back this time to launch the ‘Back to School’ range with its most famous adventurer – Dora the Explorer, in association with Simba Toys and H.M International. The range is available at Landmark, Reliance Time Out, Crossword and other leading retail outlets April 28, 2012 onwards.

Speaking about the range, Sandeep Dahiya, Sr. Vice President – Consumer Products & Communications, Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd says, “We are excited to partner with Simba and HM International to execute this exciting promotion around ‘Dora the Explorer’ back-to-school range. For kids, one of the exciting things about a new session at school is the new set of stationery, bag and books that they purchase meticulously. We’re sure that this promotion will make this experience even more engaging and exciting for them.”

To make it even more exciting… Nickelodeon, along with nutrition expert Junior Horlicks, invites kids to join Dora as she explores the adventures at school, making it an entertaining & educative experience. As part of the month long campaign, Dora will travel to 8 cities across the country to meet kids where there will be fun, frolic and masti as she mingles with her young fans. The popular television series tracks Dora’s adventures and teaches children to solve problems. Taking inspiration from this, the on-ground activities are divided in to three different themes – Annual Day CelebrationsPicnic celebrations and Sports Day celebrations, enabling kids to enjoy school even more.

The partnership entails Simba Toys developing school and fashions bags and H.M. International developing the stationery, plastic and melamine range. The stationery and melamine range is  priced between Rs. 39 and Rs. 499, while the vibrant school and fashion bags are priced between Rs. 199 and Rs. 1199 which includes some exciting never seen before Dora merchandise. The new range will have exciting Dora The Explorer pencil boxes, lunch boxes, water bottles, water colours and pencil holders amongst many other cute products.
