Digital Domain’s global VFX business former president Sudhir Reddy, has passed away, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the visual effects industry.
The company announced his appointment as president of its global VFX business in November 2025, where he spent 15 years helping the studio expand its international footprint, leaving his mark across creative production and global operations.
Reddy played a key role in launching Digital Domain’s Hyderabad studio and managing its Vancouver and Montreal operations. His work spanned feature films, episodic content and emerging media, combining creative vision with production and operational expertise.
Before joining the studio, Reddy held creative roles at studios in India and Flux Animation Studios in New Zealand. He later moved into senior production and management at Reliance MediaWorks, working across India and Los Angeles and overseeing large-scale VFX pipelines and cross-border teams.
Digital Domain remembered Reddy in a LinkedIn post as far more than a colleague and business partner, describing him as an exceptional human being whose integrity, humility, kindness and generosity left a lasting impression.
As the industry mourns his passing, Reddy’s legacy lives on in the teams he helped build, the global partnerships he strengthened and the people he inspired.
