Kids’ animated feature film Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie is set to arrive in India on 21 August.
Since its debut, Paw Patrol has grown into one of the world’s most successful children’s entertainment franchises, winning over generations with its colourful characters, memorable catchphrases, and action-packed rescue missions.
Synopsis: The film follows the beloved rescue pups as their ship is caught in a storm and crash-lands on a mysterious island where dinosaurs still roam. Stranded in this uncharted world, they meet Rex, a pup who has lived on the island for years and has become an expert on its prehistoric inhabitants. Trouble arrives in the form of mayor Humdinger, who lands on the island in search of diamonds. His reckless mining awakens a dormant volcano, setting the stage for the Paw Patrol’s biggest and most dangerous rescue mission yet.
The film introduces a refreshed voice cast, with Henry Bolan stepping in as Ryder in his first feature voice role. He is joined by Carter Young as Marshall, McKenna Grace as Skye, the only returning voice from The Mighty Movie, Lucien Duncan-Reid as Rubble, Rain Janjua as Chase, William Desrosiers as Rocky, and Nylan Parthipan as Zuma.
A key new addition is Rex, voiced by Hayden Chemberlen in his acting debut. Rex, a Bernese Mountain pup who uses a wheelchair, serves as the team’s guide across the island. His character continues the franchise’s approach of integrating disability into its storytelling, presenting it as part of heroism rather than a limitation.
The film features a strong supporting cast, with Ron Pardo returning as Mayor Humdinger. Newly introduced characters include Harper Cutlass, played by Meredith MacNeill and explosives expert Alistair Stonewall, voiced by Terry Crews. Additional voices include Jennifer Hudson as reporter Lilian Ledes, Fortune Feimster as Eugenia Bunsen, and Jameela Jamil as Heidi Pothesis, alongside appearances from Bill Nye, Paris Hilton, and Snoop Dogg.
Beyond the spectacle of dinosaurs and high-stakes rescues, the film stays true to the core values that have defined Paw Patrol – teamwork, courage, kindness, and a willingness to help others.
