‘Dragon Ball Daima’ to get India language dubs on Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll has announced Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubs of Dragon Ball Daima. The episodes in local language dubs will be released weekly, starting 9 November 2024. India will be the first region to receive these dubs, with dubs for more territories to be announced in the future.

Dragon Ball Daima is an original anime series based on a new Dragon Ball story and characters from late creator Akira Toriyama, which originally premiered on 11 October 2024, on Crunchyroll, with new episodes simulcasting on the platform every week.

The official synopsis of Dragon Ball Daima reads: Due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends are turned small. What sort of adventure awaits Goku, Supreme Kai, and the new characters Glorio and Panzy in this unknown world, the “Demon Realm”?

The anime is directed by Yoshitaka Yashima (key animator, Dragon Ball Z: Cooler’s Revenge) and Aya Komaki (series director, One Piece) together with series composition and scenario by Yuko Kakihara (screenplay, Pokémon Master Journeys) and animation character design by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru (character designer, Digimon Adventure: 2020) .

This new episodic series celebrates the birth of the global Dragon Ball franchise – commemorating the 40th anniversary of the original manga created by Toriyama that first launched in 1984 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and since then has sold 260 million copies worldwide and counting.

The anime franchise is produced by Toei Animation and spans six episodic series including Dragon Ball Daima, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Z Kai, and Dragon Ball Super, and 21 feature films as well as numerous mobile and video games, trading card game and several licensed merchandise and location based entertainment.
