The film has grossed an impressive Rs 3650 crores (approx $444.3 million) at the global box office in its opening weekend, making it not just the number one opening film of 2024 but also the eight-highest grossing of the year.
In India, the film has shattered records, collecting Rs 83.28 crores in its first weekend. This surpasses the lifetime collections of both, Deadpool (Rs 40.79 crores gross box office collection) and Deadpool 2 (Rs 69.94 crores gross box office collection).
The film has exhibited a strong upward trend in India, amassing Rs 56.36 crore gross box office collection (GBOC) over the first two days, with Rs 27.10 crore GBOC on day one and Rs 29.26 crore GBOC on day two.
The movie follows the iconic character Deadpool, portrayed by Ryan Reynolds, on a mission to recruit Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, to save his home universe from impending destruction.
