We at Spartan Poker want to share Diwali with our extensive poker family. The success of the Diwali Celebration Series is evidence of how popular skill-based games like poker are becoming in India. The players’ enthusiasm and curiosity are what motivates us to keep holding these virtual poker tournaments on a regular basis so they may have a larger stage to hone their talents and compete against other poker legends across the country.”
The Diwali Celebration Series is an ode to the customary Indian Diwali celebration and an effort to bring people together to have fun. Poker is a great fit for the occasion as it captures the spirit of Diwali. The Diwali Celebration Series also hosted the ‘Mukkamaar PKO’ tournament which is a charity event. The revenue generated from this event will go towards empowerment and self-defence programs for women. The 20 lakh GTD DCS High Mukkamaar was crushed with a total of 471 entries and a prize pool of 23.5 lakh. Mukkamaar is an NGO that started in February 2016. Mukkamaar works in collaboration with government education departments, empowering girls through self-defence.
“The rate at which the Indian poker market is expanding is astounding as well as freeing, and I am thrilled to be a part of this revolution. The popularity of poker as a skill-based game is growing, making India one of the top five countries in the world for online gaming. As a result, the online poker market is expected to expand at an unfathomable rate over the next few years. Based on this pattern, we are concentrating on using our innovations and world-class technology to meet the demands of a lot more poker players,” added Rozani.
