Lakshya Digital announces opening of new studio in Bengaluru

Lakshya Digital has set up its Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru with its new studio opening this week. With life slowly coming back to normal, the team that was working remotely for more than a year now, has resumed work in this fully operational studio.

Led by Raju Patil, a veteran of the Indian games industry, and co-founder of erstwhile Dhruva, the studio already has on board a team of extremely talented character artists, vehicle artists, environment artists and animators, who will be supervised by seasoned and highly experienced leadership team that will continue to focus on building a world-class force; and ensure smooth functioning of the studio.

The Bengaluru studio is in Whitefield area with all the essential services and conveniences for our employees within walkable distance. The studio is well appointed and is starting with almost 40 employees, with ample capacity for future growth. This is Lakshya’s third studio in India, in addition to the studios in Gurugram and Pune, and is its sixth production team globally, others being in Seattle, Tokyo and London.

With the new studio set up, the company has on board a new talent pool to meet these growing business demands of 2022 and beyond.

Speaking on the occasion, Lakshya CEO Manvendra Shukul said, “We are glad to finally open our studio in Bengaluru. It’s a strategic expansion after identifying a few focus areas that would help strengthen the presence of Lakshya globally. At this juncture, I would like to thank the entire team at Lakshya for working together relentlessly in the last few years and helping the company achieve unprecedented business growth year on year. Our people are our pillars of strength and together we look forward to growing manifolds in future.”

During the pandemic, the gaming sector saw a huge growth globally. We also witnessed a spike in international game developers and publishers coming to India to work with Indian companies and this drift will continue for the coming years as well. The sector is undergoing rapid development and widespread growth, and Lakshya is spearheading this growth story for the gaming industry in India.
