MAAC launches its new centre in TNagar

Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC),one of India’s leading educator in high-end 3D Animation and Visual Effects officially announced the launch of its new centre in T.Nagar, Chennai

This is the 2nd centre of MAAC in Chennai and 3rd in the state. The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure to train students on the latest 3D Animation & Visual Effects technology.

The new centre will offer Advanced Cinematics courses such as Career course in 3D Animation (AD3D EDGE), Career course in Visual Effects (ADVFX), besides other short term courses in 3D Animation, Multimedia and Film Making (DAFM) and Game design and Integration (DGDI). The center launch was felicitated by Guest of Honour, Alagarsamy Mayan, National Award winner for Visual Effects. The inauguration function was followed by a Panel Discussion on offbeat careers, like new age media, potential of Chennai market to accommodate the surging growth in this field & the different career options available in this Industry.

More than 100 students interested to pursue a career in animation & VFX attended the panel discussion & interacted freely with the speakers .

Ram Warrier, Business Head, MAAC said, “Chennai is a big market for Multimedia, Animation, VFX & Post Production. The Tamil Industry used VFX extensively for many of its regional movies. Some of the recent movies with high quality VFX are Enthiran, Sivaji and Maathraan.”

Speaking at the centre launch, Ritu Arya, Center Director, MAAC, T.Nagar said, “We are proud to announce the inauguration of our new MAAC center in the state. Animation is one of the most sought after career for the youth of today. We believe that approximately 200 students will enroll each year across Animation, Multimedia, Gaming and VFX programs at out Tnagar Centre.
