Maxon, developer of superior creative tools for artists, announced that the Academy Award-winning ZBrush sculpting and painting software has recently launched the latest version ZBrush 2022.0.4. The free upgrade includes a number of bug fixes while also including enhancements to the Bevel Pro and FBX import functionality that make these features more versatile.
FBX Import will now load up to 256 Camera background images when available to ease your photogrammetry workflow, which is an enhancement that was requested by many users. BevelPro now supports chamfering, and a new smoothness option has been added to the Bevel Pro Advanced options, amongst many other changes.
Additionally, mesh rendering inside BevelPro has been improved. Gizmo size has been increased by default, but there is a preference to allow users to revert to the smaller Gizmo icons size.
ZBrush is used by respected film studios, game developers, designers, advertisers, illustrators, and scientists around the world. The industry’s top creatives have employed ZBrush for nearly every major franchise including Dune, Star Wars, Avatar, the Marvel Universe, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Hobbit and more.
Recently, Maxon completed all financial and regulatory requirements for the acquisition of all assets of Pixologic, creators of the Academy Award-winning ZBrush sculpting and painting software.
