One of India’s leading animation studios, Toonz Media Group, has been creating top-class animated content for kids and families for the last two decades and is celebrating its 22nd anniversary.
Kerala-based Toonz has expertise in high-quality content creation, production, distribution, and co-production with major international studios, producers, broadcasters, and networks, and currently produces over 10,000 minutes of 2D and 3D animated content every year.
Sharing the immense joy and expressing his gratitude Toonz Media CEO P Jayakumar said, “Toonz started in 1999 with just a handful of people and limited resources. Toonz has produced some of the most highly-rated international shows such as Wolverine and The X-men, Speedracer Next Generation, Mostly Ghostly, Playmobil, Dragonlance, Freefonix, Gummybear and Friends, Fruit Ninja, and many more.
As part of its 22nd anniversary, the training division of the group, Toonz Academy is offering attractive scholarships for students. The scholarships include a fee waiver for two of the most coveted courses offered by the Academy – Animation Film Making- Advanced (AFMA) course and Visual Effects-Advanced course.
Commenting on the launch of the scholarship programs Jayakumar said, “We are extremely happy to announce this scholarship program to mark the 22nd anniversary of Toonz. Over the past two-plus decades, Toonz has come a long way and established itself as one of the top animation studios in the world. Encouraging young talent in this field has been a top priority for us right from the beginning. I hope youngsters who are looking to enter the field of animation and visual effects will take full benefit of our scholarship program.”
Currently under production at Toonz are Paddypaws and Pals in partnership with celebrated creator Keith Chapman, JG & the BC Kids with renowned American actress Janet Hubert, Sunnyside Billy conceptualized by the legendary Olivier Jean-Marie and Pierre the Pigeon Hawk that features the star voice-cast of Whoopi Goldberg, Will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson and Snoop Dogg.
