Two months back Sony Pictures Animation released the teaser trailer of Smurfs: the Lost Village. And today, they have unveiled two new trailers of the film that’s set to release on 21 March, 2017.
In this fully animated, all-new take on the Smurfs, a mysterious map sets Smurfette and her best friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting and thrilling race through the Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to find a mysterious lost village before the evil wizard Gargamel does. Embarking on a roller coaster journey full of action and danger, the Smurfs are on a course that leads to the discovery of the biggest secret in Smurf history!
The two trailers take us in the land of Smurfs wherein we are introduced to these blue dudes dressed in white tight pants and the only girl Smurfette. But what if there was more to the story? What if there were more Smurfs somewhere hidden and lost? What if ‘The Lost Village’ wasn’t really a legend?
Brainy, Hefty, Clumsy, Smurfette decide to go on an adventure to find the hidden village but little do they know that they aren’t just the only ones on this mission. The villainous Gargamel is on their back with his cat Azrael. The journey to The Lost Village isn’t as easy as one might have thought of as we see the Smurfs being eaten by plants and escaping from the evil intentions of Gargamel.
As magical the new place looks, it does seem dangerous as the Smurfs are captured by the blue-leafed beings. Who are these leafy creatures with white legs and hands who have freaked out the Smurfs? Are they the ones Gargamel and Smurfs have been looking for?
All the questions will be answered in due time as Smurfs: The Lost Village is set to release on 21 March, 2017 and in India on 21 April, 2017.
