Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has teased with a new gameplay trailer of Batman: Arkham Knight which shows the Dark Knight swooping across the roads of Gotham and keeping a watch using his gadgets and gizmos.
The latest trailer titled – ‘Time to go to War’ has the Gotham vigilante fighting the goons and rescuing Poison Ivy and taking her for a ride in his Batmobile.
Adding to the Batmobile, is the new combat mechanic which allows players to switch between Batman and his allies, namely Nightwing and Batgirl, mid-combat to deliver finishers. In addition to these characters, the Dark Knight will be able to fight alongside Catwoman and Robin in other parts of the game.
The gameplay trailer was first previewed on Arkham Insider video blog episode Batmobile Double-Bill, detailing two different modes of play for the Batmobile. Players for the first time will be able to take the Batmobile for a spin and into combat against the Arkham Knight’s private army, or race it through Gotham’s underground sewers, on puzzling racetracks designed by the Riddler.
The game was first scheduled to launch in 2014 but was pushed forward to 23 June this year and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. RockSteady Studios is supposedly ending the acclaimed series with this game and recently released the voice cast for the same which boasts of names like Jonathan Banks voicing James Gordan, John Noble as Scarecrow, Ashley Greene as Barabara Gordan, Scott Porter as Nightwing with returning voice cast of Kevin Conroy (Batman), Nolan North (Penguin), Troy Baker (Twin Face) and Tara Strong (Harley Quinn).
