The baby is not a baby in DreamWorks’ ‘The Boss Baby’ trailer

After Panda and Trolls, DreamWorks Animation has now introduced a new baby in the house with its upcoming animated feature The Boss Baby. The trailer says it all yet does not say much as it introduces the protagonist but still leaves the audience to question- What is the Boss Baby upto?

A peaceful and playful family comprising of just the mother, father and their only son Tim is suddenly disrupted by the advent of a new baby. A new arrival is often difficult to adjust and not welcomed by quite happily especially by a lone sibling. To add to the envy, if the new baby is loved more and the former sibling is deprived of attention then surely there is going to rise a smoke leading to a fire of tiff.

But in this case, more than envy there is secrecy and mystery involved. The baby is actually not a baby or maybe the baby is a grown up baby. This mystery is quite evident right from the name of the movie as well as the attire of the baby. The formally dressed baby displays the image of a businessman and the last part of the trailer is quite interesting. It is this part where you may question- Why is the baby this way? Is he a secret top agent or a business man trying to grab the family’s wealth?

Directed by Tom McGrath (Madagascar), produced by Ramsey Ann Naito and written by Michael McCullers, the film is loosely based on a picture book of the same name, written and illustrated by Marla Frazee. It stars the voices of Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow and Miles Bakshi and is narrated by Tobey Maguire.

Produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox, The Boss Baby will hit theatres on 31 March, 2017.
