Canada based Portfolio Entertainment has launched a new animated comedy series for kids Freaktown. The 26 episode half hour long series is targeted to kids aged six to 11 and will be available for distribution at a global level.
The story is about the adventures of skeleton Ben Bones and his friends as they try to avoid their nemesis, Princess Boo Boo of Sweetlandia who is keen on giving them a makeover of the sweet and sassy variety.
“We are thrilled to unleash Freaktown on the market” says Portfolio Entertainment co-founder and co-CEO Joy Rosen. “This is a series that flips convention on its ear as what appears gross is really great and what’s sweet is really kind of sour.”
The series is a concept by Peter Ricq and Philippe Ivanusic who are also the creators of The League of Super Evil.
