Celebrating ten successful years of creating parodies and alternate endings, the animated web-series How it Should Have Ended, (HISHE) has gone all out thanking fans with its latest Batman v Superman parody, ‘Bat Blood’, inspired from Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood song from the album 1989.
Ever since Ben Affleck has been roped in as our new Bruce Wayne in Zack Synder’s upcoming Man of Steel sequel, Batman v Superman – Dawn of Justice, the comic world has been biting their nails in anticipation of the return of the Caped Crusader on the big-screen.
Even with Synder confirming more of Affleck’s Batman in the upcoming tent-pole, a Batman parody was a sure thing coming to HISHE.
Here’s a look at the five minute video re-imagining Gotham’s vigilante fighting off Metropolis’s controversial savior, Superman.
Throwing in almost every character HISHE has ever spoofed till date in its web-series, HISHE explains that, “We wanted to make a big montage like celebration video, so when the original ‘Bad Blood’ video dropped and it was full of cameos (old and new) and sci-fi action movie galore, we could not help but feel inspired.”
Apart from cashing on the much hyped Batman- Superman fight, the video sung in the gruff voice of Batman also takes a dig at what all is up-coming in the DC comic superhero space bringing in even the Justice Leaguers and the Suicide Squad in the video. However HISHE couldn’t resist but tickle the Marvel v DC war too by also including a glimpse of Captain America and Iron Man, another hyped face-off Marvel has been pitting against DC in its next Captain America –Civil War.
HISHE seems to have nailed it with the video ‘Bat Blood’ having already garnered over 1.2 million views in a couple of days. Prepare for the Bat Blood between the best buds!
