Kid’s weekend entertainment dose just got a bit more exciting! Cartoon Network gears up for the launch of its global, multi-award winning, original animated series ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ in India onNovember 4, airing every Sunday at 4pm. This technically ambitious production fuses 2D and 3D animation with live-action, laying the foundation for a new era of animated cartoon format. Holding the numero uno position since its launch in 2011, this worldwide hit has swooned kids with its apt narrative, comic timing, entertaining characters and global appeal.
The Amazing World of Gumball takes viewers through a story of an ordinary family – The Wattersons, who live in the extraordinary town of Elmore, and face challenges with their 12 year old son Gumball (a blue cat) and his bosom pal Darwin who spell misadventures for all! Gumball’s dad is a pink rabbit who stays at home while his mother works in a rainbow factory! Other interesting hooks loved by the kids will be Anais, a 4-year-old genius bunny, a tyrannosaurus – Tina Rex, a cheerleading peanut – Penny and a banana – Joe! Despite the numerous failed attempts at adventure, Gumball never seems to learn.
